Associate Advisor 

Summary of Essential Duties:
Comprehensive relationship management duties for existing Arise clients and clients new to Arise including family members of existing relationships and referrals from existing households.

Candidates must incorporate our holistic approach which includes comprehensive financial planning, portfolio construction, implementation, and management. We take a disciplined approach to ongoing service and regular reviews which involves updating financial plans, monitoring, rebalancing, and reallocation of client portfolios. 

Responsible for monitoring and managing both accumulation and distribution strategies.  We expect our new team member to assimilate to our methodologies for financial planning and portfolio management.  Candidates must be able to confidently interact with our clients, gain trust, and take control of relationships, including the personal and emotional aspects of our client’s financial goals and objectives.

Specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  • Financial Planning

  • Portfolio Management

  • Collaborative Team Support

  • Relationship Management

  • Expanding the breadth and depth of our existing Arise client relationships


Background Preferences:

  • Two to three years of experience managing client relationships, or

  • Experienced Client Associate interested in growing into a financial advisor role, or

  • Tenured financial advisor with an existing book of business, and capacity to manage more Arise existing relationships and our new referral business

  • Must be motivated and willing to adopt our processes and approach


 Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Series 7 and 63 required

  • Insurance Certification preferred or a strong desire to obtain Insurance Certification

  • Licensed or enrolled in Certified Financial Planner® program a plus – if not licensed or enrolled, must want to become a Certified Financial Planner®

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; strong typing and note-taking skills, including being able to transcribe client meeting notes efficiently and accurately

  • Superior customer service skills

  • Advanced level computer skills; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Exceptional organizational skills; ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment

  • Comfort with being a "team player" and doing whatever is needed, big or small

  • Able to manage and get along with diverse personalities

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills

  • A willingness and drive to succeed


Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to commute to our office in Rolling Hills Estates, CA.


Salary Range:

Starting at $75,000+, depending on experience.


Additional Benefits:

  • 4% 401k match +2% possible profit sharing contribution

  • 70% of health care premiums employer-paid

  • 80 hours PTO

Financial Services Intern


General Description

The intern shall be charged with supporting the core functions of Arise and the administrative team as it relates to the overall needs of the business. This is an opportunity to gain experience working within a successful financial advisory practice. Your work will help you gain working knowledge of how Arise operates and how we service our clients. This position is an in-office opportunity at our office in Rolling Hills Estates, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff with secretarial and clerical duties as it relates to office activities and client meetings

  • Coordinate newsletter and mass mailings

  • Meeting preparation and take down

  • Scan all new client docs

  • Schedule and confirm appointments for existing clients

  • Maintain office calendar

  • Coordinate lunch and gift orders

  • Answer incoming phone lines and screen to ensure incoming calls are redirected to the appropriate team member

  • Greet incoming clients and vendors to assure they are comfortable while waiting for their appointment

  • Process holiday cards

  • Provide data integrity support for Black Diamond client portal

  • Enter key data for financial planning reports

  • Create excel worksheets and other presentations that analyze and present various performance and key client data statistics

  • Other office duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized, with absolute attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and establish priorities

  • Ability to handle multiple requests simultaneously and respond quickly

  • Ability to remain positive, motivated, and focused during dynamic and demanding busyperiods

  • Desire to be supportive and helpful to the team

  • Fast learner and good note taker

  • Excellent problem solving abilities


Career Progression

  • Internship may progress into a full-time position as a client service associate

  • Intern may receive a recommendation letter at the end of the internship

  • The keys for progression to the next level are demonstrated ability to execute on activities assigned with a positive attitude and the willingness to serve our clients and the firm


Compensation

  • Intern will be paid at a rate of $14/hr and flexible schedule available.
